Lake Pepin Dining!

Every summer we head over to the Mississippi and look for new places to dine next to the water. That area is so close to the Med City and has so much beauty and relaxation to offer. Last summer we found the Lake House and since then we have returned several times. Everything we have had has been top quality, fresh and delicious. The menu is plentiful and features everything from firecracker raspberry shrimp, pulled pork which is featured over a chopped salad (delicious), on the Memphis Nachos, on a bun with bacon and sauce or just featured plain with a side or piled on a plate with two sides. Any of these options are awesome. Scott ordered the Smokestack sandwich which  has smoked beef and pork topped with double smoked bacon and crispy haystack onions and then, the menu says ‘kissed’ with their homemade barbecue sauce.

Lake House The lightly batter fried shrimp dinner is great too. What the photo below shows is my absolute favorite on the menu because I love walleye. It’s called the Shore Lunch Walleye. It’s a very generous fillet of light and flaky walleye that has a very light , delicious and perfectly done exterior. So delicious! It is served with American fried potatoes and a side. If you like walleye you will absolutely love this.

As far as the sides go~You can’t go wrong. Delicious made from scratch baked beans, great coleslaw, really good fries and some of the best haystack onions around.

The menu selections also include steak dinners, ribs, sandwiches, wraps and burgers. We are looking forward to trying the next menu item while sitting on the shores of Lake Pepin enjoying the beautiful view of the bluffs and the water.
