Happy New Year!

To start the year off with something a little different, we decided to go on a happy hour adventure through Rochester at the beginning of this year! This will be the first of many weekly (hopefully) posts. Just maybe, you will be inspired to quick grab a seat and enjoy the eats before happy hour ends at 6:00 p.m.

The first stop is one of our faves in town and it even has some added fun on the rooftop in the winter. They add several domes/igloos to the rooftop patio. They seat 6-8 and each one has it’s own heater. Incredibly warm and comfortable for this climate. We were fortunate enough to sit in one during this happy hour visit and it was super fun enjoying the warmth and delicious cuisine while looking at the city lights.

Now, onto the delicious food. We ordered several to try because the prices were so reasonable and because we wanted to take some home! We ordered the calamari with lemon aioli. The happy hour portion is smaller than what is on the regular menu but well worth the price of only $5.50!

The meatballs!Yum. They are with a delicious mixture of beef, veal, herbs and covered in red sauce. Just $5.

Next up was the half price, yes, half price pizzas! The pizza’s here at Terza/LaVetta are baked in a brick wood-fired oven and they are so delicious. We ordered the salami and that came in at a price of only $5.50. The Terza wings came next. I am not a wing fan but Scott said these are one of the top three wings he has had in Rochester. They were meaty and flavored with garlic butter and fresh herbs.

Last, but definitely not least, and probably the best that we had were the Hot Beef Sliders. This is how they are described on the menu:  thin sliced beef, beef jus, truffle fries, giardiniera or sweet peppers & onions. I can’t even describe how amazing these were! Absolutely scrumptious and a must have for anyone at only $6.

Please note that we did not eat all of this in one sitting;)! We had a couple bites of each and we loved them all. And the leftovers warmed up well at home the following day too.

 

They also offer drink specials during happy hour and it happens daily from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. We will definitely be going back again and again. We love LaVetta!
