Long time no blog! It’s been a busy and very fast summer (as usual for everyone I’m sure). We have dined out, but I just have not taken the time to blog. Let’s get back at it with another awesome visit to Five West.

I don’t think you can go wrong at Five West. Everything we have ever ordered has been delicious. The atmosphere is great and the service is usually awesome as well. The patio is great in the summertime and for cool winter nights the interior is inviting. The TV’s around the outside bar are always tuned in to a sporting event during good weather.

As we sat on the patio on a beautiful August evening we ordered the same thing we had the last time we dined here because it was so delicious. We shared two delish apps

The calamari is absolutely the BEST we have tried so far in Rochester. It is oh so lightly breaded and very tender and surrounded by lemon aioli. Simply delicious. This is how their menu describes it: curry infused calamari, cilantro, Fresno chili, lemon aioli & sweet chili sauce. It is an awesome combination.

We also ordered the Almond Cherry Chicken Lettuce Wraps. They are so good! A very light and flavorful dressing coats the tender chicken, roasted almonds and green apples. All of that is served on some bibb lettuce leaves. Seriously light and delicious. This dish should definitely be on your appetizer order and could even be a lunch or dinner.SO good!
