Dooley’s is a locally owned Pub with an Irish flair. It is located in the restaurant ‘district’ downtown within walking distance to everything. They have an abundance of TV’s for all of us to watch the Vikings, Twins or whatever our favorite team might be. It’s decor is cool and the patio in front is great on sunny day.
We have been here a few times and ordered different things. One menu item draws me in more than others so I tend to lean towards that – the chicken BLT. It is not on the menu any longer but if you ask they will be happy to make it. It is a nicely grilled chicken breast topped with two strips of bacon, lettuce and tomato. What tops it off is a side of Dooley’s raspberry aioli. It used to be absolutely delicious and a great compliment to all of the flavors in this dish. This time it had changed and was syrupy and very sweet. Not the best aioli, but the sandwich was great. Their tomato basil soup is some of the best ever!
Scott ordered the Cuban sliders. He is a Cuban connoisseur and he said these are one of the best Cubans in town;). Just the right amount of ingredients of pulled pork, smoked ham, mustard and pickles. The coleslaw here is good but has a kick to it with their wasabi and cucumber sauce. The fries are pretty good too. Enjoy!
